WELCOME TO GONPACHI ASAKUSA

Just a 30-second walk from exit 4 of Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and 1 minute from exit A5 of Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa Line. Just by the Azuma-Bashi Bridge, at Gonpachi Asakusa Azumabashi we use carefully selected, regionally-sourced ingredients in everything from the fresh buckwheat that our chefs grind into a flour and use to make our famous homemade soba noodles to our tempura fried to crispy perfection. Gonpachi also offers sake and shochu from each region of Japan, as well as uses seasonal ingredients for our original cocktails and our dessert menu. Located just on the outskirts of the bustling city in a quiet neighborhood, the storefront is adorned with bronze-colored sheet copper, making it fit right in with the scenery of the Skytree and Azumabashi. With two floors, the interior is over 200 square meters with the bronze and wood aesthetic extending inside as well. Made with naturally sourced materials, the first-floor use 200-year-old wood from a Kyushu camphor tree, while at the center of the second floor is a tamo ash bar counter. Customers can enjoy our buckwheat noodles and grilled skewers on the first floor or sushi while they take in the view of the Sumida river.
